Kerio Connect, now part of the GFI family, is an all-in-one messaging and collaboration server designed for small to medium sized organizations. Kerio Connect provides advanced email, calendaring and collaboration features across platforms supporting most popular desktop clients including Microsoft Outlook, Entourage, Apple Mail, Apple Address Book and iCal, including the latest mobile devices. Connect includes Kerio Web Access for clientless access to full groupware and collaboration features via most popular browsers and the Kerio Connect Client for use without a browser or common email client. Kerio Connect bundles integrated anti-virus, powerful anti-spam, built-in archiving, automated backup, corproate instant messaging and an easy admin interface, making it a perfect choice for any small to medium organization.
New features in Kerio Connect include: Distributed Domain – manage a single email domain across multiple servers in different geographic locations; Full SSL encrypted web-based administration – complete remote management from a web browser; CardDAV – native synchronization support for Mac OS X Snow Leopard Address Book; and new mobile device support – including Palm Pre, Nexus, Droid, G2, and HTC Hero.

Kerio Connect supports the Exchange ActivSync protocol delivering over-the-air built-in push email, wireless groupware data synchronization, and remote wipe capabilities for most popular smartphones and smartphone operating systems including Apple iPhone, Windows Mobile phones, Nokia E/N Series devices, and the latest WebOS and Android 2.0 based phones. Blackberry synchronization is supported with AstraSync or NotifySync for Kerio Connect.
Kerio Connect can also be deployed as a VMware or Parallels Virtual Appliance, giving small to medium sized organizations the flexibility to choose a single powerful server or a blade enclosure for increased scalability, saving on reduced energy and hardware costs over time. The Kerio Connect Virtual Appliance can be easily “dropped” into a VMware or Parallels server infrastructure with standard configuration and does not require a separate OS installation. Once installed, the Kerio Connect Virtual Appliance can be administered remotely and updated like the standard product.
Like Microsoft Exchange, Kerio Connect features the Global Address List in Microsoft Outlook and other groupware compatible clients, enabling easy access to contact information of everyone in the corpoate directory. Connect also supports integration with Microsoft Active Directory and other LDAP servers for centralized, simplified user security and setup. Connect offers direct McAfee integration using the McAfee engine to scan messages in addition to ready-to-use plugins for ClamAV, AVG, NOD32, Sophos and Avast. Maintenance features include automated backup, email archiving and email retention policies, providing administrators simple and central mail management capabilities.
The SSL encrypted web administration portal is easily accessible for your mail administator, whether a full time in-house resource or contracted IT consultant. The Kerio Exchange Migration Tool makes it simple to cost effectively and efficiently move from Exchange to Kerio Connect, reducing your recurring support, licensing and administration costs while maintaining collaborate groupware email features using Microsoft Outlook and adding support for cross platform groupware clients.
